...then do NOT give them any information about ANYONE.
While it may seem innocent; you may not know that the person you're sharing the information with could be the perpetrator in a Domestic Violence situation.
Recently, I called off work, because I wasn't feeling well. My co-worker, innocently, told a person inquiring where I was, that I had called off that day. This person told me about the interaction. I'm not mad about it; I just had a sinus-thing going on.
However, I'm going to ask my co-worker if they KNEW the person making the inquiry; and use it as a "teachable moment". You NEVER know. That situation could have gone south, really quickly.
People need to understand that withholding information like that is NOT lying; it is just that, withholding information.
I KNOW for a fact, my co-worker would NEVER intentionally put someone in a dangerous situation; but by something as innocent as telling someone they don't know, that another person called off, they could put that person into a precarious situation. I also
KNOW they would not live with themselves well, if they did.
Have you ever innocently given out information? I KNOW I did, in the past; until I learned this tip.
All I am saying, is if you don't know the person inquiring, could it be one of those situations? You NEVER know...
Thank you, and have a good day, and be safe... #ENDtheSILENCEofVIOLENCE #dviseverywhere #domesticviolence #growin2024 #awareness #protectyourself #besafe
*October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please share this post, no matter what month it is, to help get the word out. The Victim has to make the choice - but, "What If..." they read something you sent them, and it just "clicks"?
*I would love the opportunity to share YOUR ideas in a Blog post. Please send them to Connie J... - beamererin@yahoo.com; or through Ozer email, ozerministries@att.net.
