Please ignore the improper grammar, but just ask yourself some real questions:
- Do you seem to sabotage every good thing that comes into your life?
- Are you constantly "waiting for the other shoe to drop", when something good does happen?
- Do you seem to feel "unworthy" of anything good happening?
These kinds of feelings are the result of many years of, sometimes very subtle, messages that you "just don't measure up" to SOMEONE'S expectations.
Not all abuse is hitting, or yelling in your face. Often it comes in those covert, seemingly innocent, phrases - "Are you really going to wear THAT?" "Your family doesn't like me. Why do you want to be around them?" "Why do you hang around with that person? They think I'm a jerk. Do you think I'm a jerk?"
There are many ways for negative messages to get through; and it isn't all from your significant other. It can be from family members, that have not healed from THEIR trauma; and they just pass it on to you!!!
This is obviously a huge topic, not to be solved in one post; but my goal is to make people think. So, I ask you, again: Is "yourself" your friend or foe?
Thank you, and have a good day, and be safe... #ENDtheSILENCEofVIOLENCE #dviseverywhere #domesticviolence #growin2024 #awareness #protectyourself #besafe
*October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please share this post, no matter what month it is, to help get the word out. The Victim has to make the choice - but, "What If..." they read something you sent them, and it just "clicks"?
*I would love the opportunity to share YOUR ideas in a Blog post. Please send them to Connie J... - beamererin@yahoo.com; or through Ozer email, ozerministries@att.net.
