People get so wrapped up in how they think the Holiday Season should be for everyone, that they tend to ignore the reality right in front of them.
I heard the phrase,
"You don't owe anyone an interaction.", once; and it has been life-changing for me.
It's important for YOUR well-being that you do what YOU need to do - for yourself, AND your children - ESPECIALLY during
the Holiday season.
Now, there is no such thing as a "perfect" Holiday gathering. In my 60 years, I have learned that. I remember being traumatized by situations on several Holidays.
Then choices were made that, at the time, seemed to further traumatize; but upon reflection, those choices turned the "Trauma Tide" to become a valuable life-lesson.
But can't ANYTHING
become a life-lesson? Is it time for you to embark on that learning and healing life-journey?
Have a good day, and be safe this Holiday Season... #listen #ibelieveyou #doyouhear
*October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please share this post, no matter what month it is, to help get the word out. The Victim has to make the choice - but, "What If..." they read something you sent
them, and it just "clicks"?
*I share a "What If..." post on the first Monday, of every month, and I would love the opportunity to share YOUR "what ifs". Please send your "What If..." ideas to Connie J... -
