Are YOU the Toxic Person in the Relationship With Yourself??! (Connie J...)

Whatever situation you have "evolved from", be it Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Bullying, etc, or even if you're still being victimized - are YOU the toxic person in the relationship with YOURSELF? 

Are you holding yourself to standards so high, that even someone that has gone through the healing process does NOT have the ability to achieve?

Whatever you have gone through, there may be a Grieving Process of sorts - for the relationship you wanted, or believed in, but just wasn't there.

Have you worked through your anger? Is it a motivational anger, or is it detrimental to you being able to move forward?

You HAVE been through a terrible ordeal. You cannot let ANYONE, even yourself, minimize that, or hinder your healing.

There is basically no right or wrong way to do this, as long as what you are doing is helping you. Is your brain still playing the old videos, and you have the same mental reactions?

Just because the feelings come, does it mean you haven't changed? Not necessarily. Take a moment to reflect and review the situation. Are you in the same place you were? Take note of the differences - journal about them, if you have to, to give you a tangible overview of where you are at THIS moment.

If you keep doing the same thing, how can change come? These are questions I have to ask myself, a lot!!! I have submarined my own healing process more times over the last nearly 27 years, than I can count. There is no time limit to healing; just keep forward motion.

Paying it forward has been a big part of my personal healing. Subtle ways you can help those around you, mostly. You don't even realize it's going in, until you reflect on your day. Such a cool feeling.
