#NOMORE Taking the Reins... (Connie J)

Sometimes, Victims of Domestic Violence have NEVER been in charge of their own life,  before.
Growing up, their parents, teachers, etc, guided them so closely, they didn't HAVE to make decisions on their own.
As they reach the dating age, their Boyfriend/Girlfriend becomes that "Guide".
Then, when they enter either Marriage, or a Committed Relationship, they're not even conscious of making their own decisions; "taking the reins", if you will, of their own lives.
If this sounds all too familiar to you, regarding yourself, or someone you know or love; what  can you do to encourage them to "take the reins" of their own life?
